ASP Requirements

The ASP online service is the easiest way to get started and use SuccessWare21.  Most companies are able to use current systems.  To provide the best user experience, security and application stability the following printer, computer, network/firewall and ISP standards are recommended.   
 
Printers:                  HP LaserJet black & white, color and multifunctional printers.  
                                   
Click on the ASP Printer Requirements link to see recommended models or search a complete list of approved HP printers to verify whether your printer is compatible with the ASP program.  Many non-HP printers will work with Citrix’s universal print driver or a generic HP print driver.  Contact our ASP support team at 877-88-GO-ASP to confirm compatibility.
 
 
PCs/Laptops:           Windows XP and Windows 2000
                                   
Computers should have sufficient memory and processing power for users to browse the internet and run standard applications such as Microsoft Office.  Windows 98 is no longer supported by Microsoft and therefore companies should be looking to retire old computers running 98 and upgrade workstations to XP.
 
Recommed Dell, HP or Lenovo (formerly IBM).
 
Click here on the Citrix Client link to download and install the software needed to run applications from the ASP.  The software needs to be installed on each computer that will access ASP applications: computers in your office, laptops, and home computers connected to high speed internet. 
           
 
Network/Firewall:      SonicWALL Managed Firewall      
             
The ASP service has standardized on SonicWALL firewalls for security and user support.  Preference is for Synergy to configure and ship a device as part of your ASP service - this assures proper configuration for user support and 7x24 monitoring and provides the very best pricing available. Click on the ASP Firewall Service link for more information on this requirement.
 
10/100 switch ports are built into the SonicWALL firewall appliance.  A Cisco 12-port or 24-port switch can be connected to the appliance to support additional computers or printers. 
 
Wireless option is available for SonicWALL appliance.
   
 
Internet/ISP:           DSL, Cable or T1      
             
Recommend allocating 50k of bandwidth per active ASP user.  This will provide sufficient bandwidth for running SuccessWare from the ASP online service and for browsing the internet and doing email.  DSL and Cable both offer business class service with varying bandwidth plans to meet your needs.  We recommend obtaining one static IP address (rather than DHCP dynamic addressing where your provider assigns your company new addresses every month or so).
 
DSL/Cable.  Recommend using the modem provided by your internet provider.
 
T1.  Recommend purchasing an appropriately sized and configured Cisco router.
